I started training with Eric when I was a rookie who was enthusiastic about (but terrible at) everything to do with boxing. I wanted to learn, though I had no idea where to start and nothing to work with: I’m by no means a natural boxer!
But with Eric’s guidance—through the blood, sweat, and more tears than I care to admit—I feel I’ve grown into someone I can be proud of, both as a fighter and a person. Boxing changes you—it forces you to be better, because it demands you leave everything you have in the ring. Eric is like that too—that’s why he’s a first-rate trainer.
He’s tough, but not unreasonably so—enough that he won’t let you get away with doing less than your best, but never more than he needs to be in order to help you.
He’s patient, to an almost supernatural level—he has nothing but time to teach you, if you’re committed to putting in the effort.
He’s a natural teacher, who always knows exactly how to explain things so you understand not only what you’re doing, but why you’re doing it.
Finally, he’s an incredibly skilled fighter. It’s important to me to learn from someone who lives and breathes boxing, who has the authority to tell me what to do because they have years of experience to back it up (not just a certificate they earned in a weekend boxing course).
Training with Eric has had an immeasurable influence on my physical and mental strength, in and out of the ring. If you’re interested in boxing and you want to learn from the best, it would be insanity to pass up any opportunity to train with him.
